Commissions Equal 60% of the gross profit for each load. Commissions are processed and posted immediately for your viewing so you know at all times the amount of your pending check. Commissions are paid weekly and can be mailed to you (standard check) or paid direct deposit through your financial institution. Agent commissions are paid as 1099 compensation and D&L does not provide for the withholding of taxes.
The Internet-based Computer System maintained by D&L has been customized to the specific needs of our brokerage operation. This system puts you head and shoulders above your competition. Here are the capabilities of the software that contribute to your efficiency and success:
- EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).
- Real-time access to your current commission, report updated daily.
- Faxing, E-mail and Mileage system.
- Complete telemarketing and rate/quotes module.
- Automated posting to third-party load listing services.
- Email or fax load confirmation directly to your customer.
- Customer information only accessible to the servicing agent and the corporate office.
- Agent IT system feature recommendations are welcome.
Operating Requirements for becoming an agent with D&L are:
- A place to work.
- Computer with Windows 98, XP or 2000.
- Printer and fax machine.
- High speed Internet access.
- Phone and phone service.
